Land Rover Range Rover Sport recalls

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2026 Range Rover Sport vehicles. The vehicle weight information listed on the certification label is incorrect.

Risk: Incorrect weight information on the certification label could lead to overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Range Rover Sport and Range Rover vehicles. The panoramic sunroof side finisher trim may not be properly secured and can detach.

Risk: A detached panoramic sunroof side trim can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Fix: Dealers will inspect the panoramic sunroof side finisher trim and secure it as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed June 19, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is D095.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover vehicles. The seat belt warning system may not activate the audible warning chime as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to conform with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk: A seat belt chime that fails to alert occupants that they are unbuckled can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2025 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The second-row center seat belt buckle may not latch correctly due to a manufacturing error.

Risk: An unlatched seat belt will not properly restrain an occupant, increasing the risk of injury.

Fix: Dealers will replace the center seat belt buckle and buckle retaining bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were April 22, 2025. Owners may contact Jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is N989.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2025 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery Sport, and 2026 Range Rover Evoque, and Jaguar F-Pace vehicles. Moisture may have entered the gear shift module (GSM) during assembly, which can cause the gear shift position indicator light to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."

Risk: A gear shift position indicator that fails to illuminate can make it difficult to identify the correct transmission gear position, increasing the risk of a crash.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2024 Land Rover Range Rover and Land Rover Range Rover Sport vehicles. The body panels may not be bonded properly, reducing the structural strength of the vehicle.

Risk: Reduced structural strength may not adequately protect passengers, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, the fuel system may be damaged during a crash, causing a fuel leak and increasing the risk of a fire.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2024 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The transmission oil pressure may decrease and cause the clutch to shift into neutral gear, which can result in a loss of drive power.

Risk: A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Defender, 2024 Discovery, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover Velar vehicles. The oil filter housing can crack and leak oil into the engine compartment.

Risk: An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.

Fix: Dealers will replace the filter housing, oil filter, and o-rings, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2024. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N908.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2024 Defender, Discovery Sport, Range Rover, Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The Near Field Sensing Module (NFSM) may overheat and cause the 3D surround camera images, including the rearview camera image, not to display.

Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display can decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Fix: Dealers will replace the NFSM, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 24, 2024. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N927.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar and Land Rover Discovery, 2020-2023 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 2019-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Range Rover, 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Defender, 2021-2024 Jaguar F-Pace, and 2021-2022 Jaguar E-Pace mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs.) The DC-DC converter can fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip. A failure of the DC-DC converter will result in a loss of 12-Volt system charging and can lead to complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting.

Risk: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Fix: The remedy for this recall is currently under development. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 17, 2026. Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Range Rover Sport, 2020-2023 Range Rover, Defender, 2022-2023 Discovery, and 2023 Range Rover Velar vehicles. The engine cam carrier oil channel may be blocked, which can lead to an oil leak.

Risk: An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with incorrect rear taillights that do not illuminate correctly. In addition, the brake lights may not illuminate correctly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, " Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Taillights and brake lights that do not illuminate correctly can reduce vehicle visibility or cause confusion for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the rear taillights, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 25, 2023. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N782.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Land Rover Range Rover and 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vehicles. The second-row seat armrest storage compartment latch may fail, allowing the objects from within to be unsecured in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 201, "Occupant Protection in Interior Impact."

Risk: In the event of a crash, unsecured objects from within the armrest compartment may strike the vehicle occupants, increasing their risk of injury.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vehicles. Moisture may accumulate in the right-side tailgate and body mounted lights, which can cause the right-side exterior vehicle lights, including the brake, outer marker, reversing, and turn indicator lights to fail to illuminate.

Risk: Exterior lights that fail to illuminate can decrease visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2021 Range Rover, 2022 Range Rover Sport, 2020-2021 Range Rover Velar, Discovery Sport, 2020-2022 Discovery, and Defender vehicles. The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly.

Risk: An unsecured child restraint system can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2022-23 Land Rover Defender, Discovery, Discovery Sport and 2022 Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Velar vehicles. The driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners may be damaged, which can cause the seat belts to not properly restrain occupants.

Risk: Improperly restrained occupants have an increased risk of injury during a crash.

Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a Surround Camera System. Water may enter into the rearview camera, which can cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display or display a distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Fix: Dealers will inspect the rearview camera and add a new seal or replace the camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed to Range Rover owners March 4, 2024. Interim notification letters were mailed to Range Rover Sport owners March 7, 2024. Range Rover Sport owners will receive a second notice once remedy parts become available. Issue: Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a Surround Camera System. Water may enter into the rearview camera, which can cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the display or display a distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display can decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Fix: Dealers will inspect the rearview camera for damage. If no damage is found, the camera will be fitted with a new seal. If damage is found, the camera will be replaced and calibrated.
